<\/a><\/p>\nThe demonstration organised by the Mouvement de la Paix (Peace Movement) and the CGT (General Confederation of Labour) brought together 200 people, in particular representatives of Greenpeace, Sortir du Nucl\u00e9aire Cornouaille (Out of Nuclear Cornouaille), the Collectif finist\u00e9rien pour l’interdiction des armes nucl\u00e9aires (Finisterian Collective for the Ban on Nuclear Weapons), and Brest MP Pierre-Yves Cadalen.<\/p>\n
200 is not a lot, but we represented 1.7 billion people living in the 73 countries that have now signed and ratified the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In the middle :”We don’t want any more atomic bombs in Brittany, or anywhere else in the world! They are illegal, expensive and dangerous” At the bottom : “We sing for you,\u00a0Friends of Hiroshima”<\/p>\n Top left : “A world without nuclear weapons”<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Top : “We don’t want any more atomic bombs in Brittany, or anywhere else in the world!, They are illegal, expensive and dangerous”<\/p>\n For the ratification of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The nuclear arsenal held by the United States, Russia, China, France, the United Kingdom, India, Pakistan and Israel is enough to burn, dislocate, shred, kill several times humanity and biodiversity, and poison the world’s oceans and atmosphere for hundreds of thousands of years. None of these countries has signed the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.<\/p>\n France, the United Kingdom and the United States even issued a joint statement on July 7, 2017 radically opposed to the Treaty. “France, the United Kingdom and the United States have not taken part in the negotiation of the treaty on the prohibition of nuclear weapons.
