Press release n°4 – 9:15 a.m.

Last minute news and latest twist
The Spiridon II was expected to return to Montevideo in mid-December with her cargo of suffering heifers, and her route towards the Strait of Gibraltar from Türkiye confirmed this. But from 5:27 p.m. on November 18 (4:27 p.m. UTC), the Spiridon II was no longer responding. A certain mystery was surrounding her route. In fact, after last-minute negotiations with Libya, the Spiridon II turned back after passing Sicily and headed for Benghazi, Libya. She arrived at the port on Saturday November 22 at 12:58 p.m. (11:58 a.m. UTC) as Robin des Bois had announced. Libya is not a regular customer of Uruguay. It sources livestock and meat from Spain and other European countries, including France. The damned Spiridon II is well known in the livestock port of Sète (France).
