Grande America, Press Release n°10
The Grimaldi diplomacy worked like hell in Le Havre. Grande Nigeria has escaped from the second largest French port along with a lot of “baggage”. Indeed, following the control of the Vessel Safety Center requested by Robin des Bois, 10 deficiencies were reported on board the bad boy of the Neapolitan fleet. Five concern firefighting and one concerns the register of hazardous materials. Grande Nigeria is on her way to Dakar.

The Deputy Director of the Interregional Directorate of the Sea, Mr. Alexander Ely, said at the end of the inspection that “Grimaldi is very annoyed to have to manage a peril of the Sea. But there are companies that are much less efficient. Companies to which we are extremely vigilant.” Just today, Robin des Bois asked Mr. Ely what these companies were.
In the Mediterranean, the NGO is awaiting the results of the inspection (if it is carried out) in the ports of Sète or Marseille of the Repubblica del Brasile, another specimen of Grimaldi Lines, the specialist in Africa dumping (refer to “Grimaldi Lines in Sète and Marseille!” March 25, 2019).
